Podcast: Denver Igarta in 8 minutes or less on livable streets in Europe

Denver Igarta, a 2011 URP fellow whose work has been cited frequently on this blog, recently joined me on a GMF podcast for a brief discussion on how his fellowship has influenced his work on redesigning Portland streets to make them more functional, attractive and safe for non-automotive uses. Of particular interest to me were the small, specific treatments that Denver found could significantly improve the urban streetscape at little cost – things like speed bumps, bollards, and chicanes.
